Kress Terrace is an intimate yet expansive rooftop indoor/outdoor special events facility in the heart of downtown Greensboro. Our venue has been specifically designed to accommodate a full range of events, from business events, fundraisers and reunions  to community celebrations, rehearsal dinners and wedding receptions. Kress Terrace is located on the fourth floor of the renowned S.H. Kress building with unmatched city views and equally  impressive indoor beauty.  Along with the authentic charm of the 1930’s, original distressed brick, copper, dark plank hardwoods and high ceilings, Kress Terrace also offers all the modern amenities essential to a successful event.

Located at 212 South Elm Street suite “rooftop”, the Kress Building shares the block with Triad Stage, Chakras Spa, Crafted – The art of the taco, Blue Denim, Bojo Blue, Aspen Boutique, Pier Seafood Restaurant and Bar, White and Wood Restaurant and Cocktail Bar, Sushi Sapa and Liberty Oak restaurants.  With a convenient parking deck opening to our skybridge glass door, your guests have the ease of a secure and covered parking area.

Specifications & Capacity

Kress Terrace offers an elegant 2,600 square-foot interior banquet hall that opens onto an expansive 4,500 square-foot rooftop terrace overlooking downtown. Our interior space may accommodate 200 seated or 225 for a cocktail reception. In combination with the adjoining rooftop terrace, Kress Terrace may accommodate 300.

Our terrace may be tented as necessary for all-weather, year-round events. Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, Business Receptions, Seminars and Luncheons are extraordinary in this Rooftop Setting.
